Terms of Use

These terms apply to the DO app for iPhone, provided by Vasile Piciriga ("we"). DO is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard App Store EULA). These terms add the rules that are specific to DO. Where they differ, the Apple EULA takes precedence.

What DO does

DO reads what you save — screenshots, photos, documents, links and messages — recognises details such as dates, amounts, places and deadlines, and suggests actions such as adding an event to your calendar or setting a reminder. Most features work entirely on your iPhone and without an internet connection.

DO is not advice

DO helps you organise and understand your own information. DO does not provide legal, tax, financial, investment or medical advice, and nothing in DO — including summaries, explanations of letters and reply drafts — is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. DO does not assess your rights, obligations or chances in any matter.

Check what DO suggests

DO recognises details automatically, sometimes with the help of AI. Automatic recognition and AI can be wrong or incomplete: a date may be misread, a deadline missed, an amount taken from the wrong line. Before you rely on a detail — especially a deadline, a payment or anything with legal or financial consequences — check it against the original, which DO always keeps for you. Reply drafts are suggestions: you decide what you send, and you are responsible for it.

You decide which actions DO performs. Events, reminders and contacts that DO adds for you are created in Apple's apps on your behalf and are yours to keep, change or delete.

Cloud AI

Cloud AI is optional and only works when you turn it on. It sends the extracted text of the item being analysed to our server and to our AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy. To keep the service fair and affordable, Cloud AI has daily limits per installation. We may change these limits, change the AI provider or model, or discontinue Cloud AI, in particular if it can no longer be offered reasonably; DO keeps working on your iPhone without it. We do not guarantee that Cloud AI is available at all times.

You must not misuse DO's server: do not access it other than through the DO app, do not try to get around limits or security measures, and do not send content that you are not allowed to process.

DO Pro

Some features are available with a DO Pro subscription. The features included are those described in the app at the time of purchase.

• Subscriptions are bought through your Apple Account and are handled entirely by Apple. The price and period are shown before you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage and cancel it in the settings of your Apple Account.
• If a free trial is offered, the subscription starts automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. You can restore a purchase on another device with the same Apple Account using Restore Purchases.

Everything that is free in DO — capture, text recognition, recognising details, calendar, reminder, map and contact actions, search and export — stays usable without a subscription.

Your content

What you save in DO remains yours. We claim no rights to it, and we cannot see it: it is stored on your devices and, if you use iCloud Sync, in your own iCloud account. Make sure you are allowed to save and process the content you add, and do not use DO for anything unlawful.

Because your data is stored on your devices, you are responsible for keeping backups. DO lets you export all items at any time.

Availability and changes

We work to keep DO reliable and up to date, but we cannot promise that it will be free of errors or always available. We may change, add or remove features, for example to improve DO or to comply with law or with App Store rules. We will not remove paid features during a subscription period you have already paid for without offering a fair solution.

Liability

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where liability is mandatory by law, for example under product liability law. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations — obligations whose fulfilment makes proper use of DO possible and on which you may regularly rely — and then only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable. Otherwise, our liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms restricts your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Ending use

You can stop using DO at any time by deleting the app. Cancel a subscription separately in your Apple Account settings. We may block access to Cloud AI for an installation that misuses it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when DO gains new features or the law changes. We will show the new date at the top and, for significant changes, inform you in the app before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using DO.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the provider named above is established, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is no longer available; we are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
